Welcome to my blog my fellow weight loss seekers and fitness enthusiasts!! This is the site that I will be posting about my journey to a healthier lifestyle through fitness, nutrition, and weight loss. My current weight as of July 30th is 305.8 lbs with a BMI of 43.9 and a body fat percentage of 48.3 (depressing!! – nearly half of my body is just “FAT”). I haave some knee problems, I am on high blood pressure medication, and I am borderline diabetic. It is time to make some big changes!!

I will be officially starting this journey on August 1st and see if I can get to my goal weight of 185 lbs by my 50th birthday on May 20th, 2019. That gives me about 9-1/2 months to make this happen. This is a highly aggressive goal, but I will have smaller goals along the way.┬áThe “diet” I will be following is Keto. It is not a diet per say, but a lifestyle change. It includes eating a high percentage of “good” fats, some moderate protein, and of course LOW carbs. The macros that I will be trying to follow are somewhere around 75% Fat, 20% Protein, and only 5% of net carbs. I will eventually start throwing in some fitness after the first few weeks of “dieting”.

How about you guys follow along. Maybe you can join with me on this challenge. Maybe I will start a pack, troop, horde, group or something for us to join in and help motivate each other. Let’s see how it goes.
